MEAG acquires property in Warsaw

18.01.2007

MEAG has purchased the Warsaw Corporate Center from a group of private investors for its special real-estate fund MEAG Euro Pro.

The ten-storey office/retail building with around 8,750 m² of floor space can be found at the address Emilii Plater 28 in the center of Warsaw. This is an exemplary location and the building is almost completely leased. Among the tenants are large national and international companies and the British Embassy. The main railway station and the Warsaw Palace of Culture and Science are close by.

As a location, Warsaw profits greatly from a continuingly excellent economic outlook. Poland's capital is one of the leading office locations in Central/Eastern Europe. Warsaw currently has around 2.5 million m² of office space on offer, of which around 50% are in the city center.

MEAG MUNICH ERGO AssetManagement GmbH in Munich is the asset manager for Munich Re and ERGO Versicherungsgruppe. With offices in New York and Hong Kong, MEAG has an international orientation and also manages the assets of clients outside the Munich Re Group. MEAG currently manages assets to the value of around € 183 billion, of which around € 14 billion are held in real estate.
