How up to date are the job adverts on this website?

We update our job adverts every day from Monday to Friday.

How do you prefer to receive applications?

We prefer digital applications. To submit an application, please register on our applicant portal and upload your documents there – the process is quick and straightforward.

When can I expect to hear back from you?

Straight after you submit your documents, you will receive a confirmation to say that we have received them. We will then process your documents carefully and consider whether your knowledge and skills fit the job profile. This will take a little while. We aim to process your application promptly.

Does it help to call before sending in application documents?

All applicants are free to drop us a line to clarify any questions they may have, but the telephone calls don't influence the selection procedure in any way.

Can I apply for more than one position at once?

Yes, but please send a separate application for each position, because the documents go to the different people responsible in the respective departments.

 FAQs for working students

What do I need to know if I want to become a working student at MEAG?

Our working student jobs are mainly based at our Munich offices. If you have any questions about becoming a working student, please get in touch with the contact specified in the job advert.

What formal criteria do I need to meet for a job as a working student?

You need to be enrolled at a university in order to qualify for a job as a working student at MEAG. If you are also employed by a second company, please note the potential impact this could have with regard to tax and social security.

What are a working student’s weekly working hours?

Depending on which position you choose, you will be employed for around 15-20 hours a week and on a flexible basis, depending on your contract. During the semester (when lectures are running), you are not permitted to work more than 20 hours a week. In consultation with your department and depending on the amount of work available, you may be able to work full time during your semester holidays (when lectures are not running).

What salary can a working student expect to earn?

Your salary is calculated based on the area you work in and the period in which you are expected to be with us. It will be between EUR 12-20 depending on your duties and previous experience.

Can I submit a short application for a job as a working student too?

We are unfortunately unable to consider short applications, as complete application documents are key to choosing the right candidate carefully.

Can I also apply speculatively to become a working student?

Yes, speculative applications are permitted as a basic principle, especially if you have a preference as to which specific area you would like to work in and no vacancies are currently being advertised in that area.

Do working students have to complete an internship first?

 

No. An internship at MEAG is not a prerequisite to launching your career with us as a working student.
