Summary of investor rights and complaint management (ombudsman process / dispute resolution)

  1. For consumers

To have your issue clarified quickly and transparently, please contact MEAG MUNICH ERGO Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH:

Address:
MEAG MUNICH ERGO Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH
Am Münchner Tor 1
80805 München
E-mail: privatanleger@meag.com

Upon MEAG receiving your inquiry, its Retail Sales Support department immediately documents the case and passes it on to staff members with the relevant qualifications, for resolution within two working days. In the exceptional case of the processing requiring more time, you will be informed within two working days.

This is of course free of charge for you.

If you are not satisfied with the solution proposed, you have the option as a private investor of taking court action to assert your rights, or of launching an alternative proceeding to resolve the dispute.

You can invoke the Ombudsman's Office for Investment Funds (Ombudsstelle für Investmentfonds) of Germany's federal investment and asset management association (BVI Bundesverband Investment und Asset Management e.V.). MEAG participates in dispute settlement proceedings held before this conciliatory body.

It can be contacted at:

Büro der Ombudsstelle
BVI Bundesverband Investment und Asset Management e. V.

Unter den Linden 42
10117 Berlin
Tel.: +49 30 6449046 0
Fax: +49 30 6449046 29
E-mail: info@ombudsstelle-investmentfonds.de

For disputes relating to sales or service contracts concluded electronically, you can refer to the online dispute resolution platform of the European Union (EU) (www.ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). Use the e-mail address info@meag.com to contact MEAG. The platform itself is not a conciliatory body, it merely informs the parties how to contact a relevant national arbitration body.

You can also lodge a complaint with Germany's Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht (BaFin)), if you suspect legal regulations may have been breached. The BaFin then reviews whether the law has been upheld.

Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht
Graurheindorfer Straße 108

Fax: +49 (0) 228 4108-1550

Arbitration proceedings do not impact your right to invoke courts of law.

You will find information on legal disputes using instruments of collective legal redress – class action suits – by clicking on the following link from Germany's Federal Office of Justice (Bundesamt für Justiz):
