We invest Munich Re Group’s capital: More than 140 years of experience, over 100 investment professionals and investment assets to the value of €355 bn (of which more than €15 bn in real estate: as at 30 June 2025) put us among the biggest players in the international financial sector. MEAG manages all key asset classes such as interest-bearing securities, equities, real estate, renewable energies and infrastructure.

Integrated approach: We generate value throughout the entire lifecycle of the property: from the development project through to the property management, from the purchase to renovation and refurbishing, all the way through to managing all the external contractors. Expert teams working hand in hand ensure the smooth execution of the strategic and tactical instructions from the portfolio and fund management. 

Of our €53 billion worth of alternative assets – which corresponds to around 15% of the €355 billion total assets under our management – around €38 billion are in illiquid investments: infrastructure, private equity, loans, forest and agricultural land.
